Rajnigandha bulbs- NEW FOR 2013!!
(Polianthes tuberosa) has tubular blooms and a fragrance that is described as rich, sultry and seductive. The oils extracted from the flowers are used to make perfume. Bulbs can be planted in spring and will flower in late summer. Plant 2-3 in. deep and 1 foot apart. In USDA zones 8 and above the bulbs may be left in the ground. Everywhere else the bulbs can be dug up in the fall, allowed to air dry for three to five days. and stored in sand or peat moss. It also makes an excellent potted plant and can be kept indoors during the winter. In Bengali, it is called "Rajoni-Gandha", In Urdu "Gul Shabbi", In Marathi, "NishiGandha", Sugandharaja in Kannada, in Tamil "Sambangi" or "nilasambangi", and in Telugu "NelaSampenga" and the flowers are traditionally used to make garlands especially in South Indian weddings.

Kanakambaram (Aboli) plants (Crossandra infundibuliformis)
A tropical shrub that is grown as a potted plant in the colder climates (below 40°F). In India it is known as Kanakambaram in the South and Aboli or priyadarsha in the Northern States. The Salmon to Orange flowers are often strung along with Jasmine flowers into strands and used to adorn women's hair . The tube-shaped blossoms are flattened into a 5-lobed ring. The plant can grow from 2-3 feet tall outdoors. Due to strict customs regulations we cannot ship plants outside mainland USA. 3-4" plants in pots. Plants come in 2 flower color variations. A quick-growing vine with glossy, green foliage giving it a tropical effect. It is also grown for its intensely fragrant flowers. Blooms from April to September. Best if supported with a trellis. 4" plants. Our plants are healthy when shipped. Curry Leaf Plant (Murraya Koenigii) TEMPORARILY SOLD OUT!!
The aromatic leaves of this plant are used to flavor many Indian dishes much like bay leaves, especially in curries with fish or coconut milk. The original Indian word "Kari" refers to the sauce of these piquant dishes, hence the name curry leaf. Curry leaves are extensively used in Southern India and Sri Lanka, but are also of some importance in Northern India. Together with South Indian immigrants, curry leaves reached Malaysia, South Africa and Reunion island. An easy to raise plant, that needs full sun, grows to 1-3 feet in containers, minimum temperature 55 degrees, blooms in summer. Use any commercial soil mix that is peat or coir based. The soil should be allowed to thoroughly dry between waterings. The plant should be moved indoors during the winter months except in Southern Florida. Water sparingly during the winter months and do not fertilize during these months. Our plants are healthy when shipped. Jasminum molle - "Juhi" TEMPORARILY SOLD OUT.
In India, the flower of Jasmine Molle or "Juhi" is held sacred to all forms of Goddess Devi and is used as sacred offerings during Hindu religious ceremonies.It is also used for making garlands and to adorn women's hair. Known as Virajaji in Telugu, it has simple ovate dark green small leaves and powdery satin white flowers that cover the plant during blooming seasons which may occur several times a year. The most profuse blooming is during hot summer months, and another may happen in Fall, and or winter. TEMPORARILY SOLD OUT.
