Tomatoes

A bountiful basket of Marglobe, Salim and Fordrole.

 Superior paste type tomato resistant to Verticillium and Fusarium wilts. Bears big crops of bright red, plum-shaped fruits with meaty interiors, and few seeds. The fruits weight about 2 ounces. Excellent for canning, eating whole or adding body to tomato juice. $.99

  • #220-Marglobe

Large smooth, bright red round fruit, globular and smooth with  thick meaty flesh and few seeds, plants have ample foliage, specially bred for home use.  75-80 days. This variety is one of the most vigorous and disease resistant of the standard varieties. It is resistant to Fusarium Wilt and resists blight well even in wet weather. $.99
 

#202-Fordrole

Mid-season variety,  excellent for slicing.  Determinate variety resistant to Fusarium and Verticilium wilts.  7 ounce red tomato fruits that are well protected from sunburn.Shape is square to round and is very high yielding.  Stores well. One of the best tomatoes for hot climates!  80-85 days. $.99

Determinate variety. Small to medium sized fruit. Very uniform and prolific. Tolerant to virus complex. Prolific.  $.99

 

Cauliflower

·       # 620 - Meghana

Very early (70 days maturity from planting) with excellent white curd quality. High yielding. Best for early summer or dry tropical season, strong tolerance to heat and cold. Head weight about 900 gram. Very popular variety, easy to grow.  $.99

 

Root vegetables

#801 - Carrot Karoda

This improved version produces excellent quality carrots in deep orange red color, which are smooth and uniform in shape. Large, sweet carrots that don't get pithy.  The plant grows very well in summer for harvest in fall to winter. Does well even in poor soils.  Easy to grow.  Ready in 75 days.  $1.99

#850 Koren - Pure white, uniform, cylindrical roots with a crisp, mild flavor. Known as mooli in Hindi.  Matures in 60 days from sowing. Can be left in the garden 15-25 days after maturity, without losing flavor.  Medicinal uses include  liver conditions, enlarged spleen and jaundice.  $.99
Eggplant

#167-BLACK BEAUTY The fruits average 8 inches long and 3-1/2 inches wide. The fruits are 1 to 3 pounds in size. Tolerant to Tobacco Mosaic virus. The flesh is pale yellow, and ideal for breading and frying. 73-85 days to harvest.  $.99
Greens

# 675- SAGAR exceptionally rich in carotenoids, including beta-carotene and lutein, and also contains quercetin, a phytochemical with antioxidant properties.  It is also rich in vitamins and minerals, particularly folate (folic acid), vitamin K, magnesium, and manganese.  Our variety has broad leaves without fibers and becomes very soft on cooking. Very tolerant to mildew . Spinach is best grown in cooler climates (spring or fall). Matures in 45 days.   $.99

 

Mexican Hot chillies

#485 - Habañero:  Although not originating from India we are proud to carry seeds of one of the hottest known pepper varieties.  This variety from Mexico changes from green to bright orange and is shaped like miniature Chinese lanterns. $.99
