The 3G (Third Generation) cutting method is a fairly new technique used to improve produce yield in various species of plants. There are very few resources on the subject thus far, and most publications are geared towards farmers. We have compiled the technique along with some background botanical knowledge to guide the home gardener in using this technique. We recommend you do not try this unless you are a somewhat experienced gardener, for if it is done incorrectly you risk killing your plant(or if you choose to try it, ensure you understand the risks). We are excited to try this technique as well and will share our results throughout the growing season in 2022.
