Banana-Lacatan

Musa-Lacatan is known to be the most popular desert banana in the Philipines, where they prefer this Banana to the Cavendish cultivar for mass production. Lacatan boast the unofficial title of the best tasting banana. It is known to produce fruit within the first year in the right conditions.

Lacatan are considered fast growing and easy to grow. They prefer moist, but well draining soil. They grow to an average height of 5-9ft. It is hardy to Zones 8-11, but can be grown in a container and brought indoors if given proper indoor winter care.
